Spring 2010 Fashion Forecast
August 12, 2009The Spring/Summer 2010 buying trip was a huge success. I want to show some of what you can expect to find at Dash’s next Spring and also show you where high fashion is headed.
The collection is designed to be fully complementary – where separate pieces look great by themselves and can also be matched with on another for an overall stunning look. Our theme for next year is bright, saturated palates – mixing colors that look fantastic together without being gaudy. We bought classic pieces tailored in newer, more modern designs. The collection will be very uplifting to wear and to look at.
We will have a variety of suits, all 250 gram new wool, made by Luigi Bianchi. These are classic suits, but the focus is to be able to get suits that can be worn as separate pieces. This way, wearing the suit coat as a sport jacket or the suit pants as trousers, you’ll be able to get more bang for your buck.
We also found these really cool, totally unique shirt jackets. I have never seen these before, but Italy received them very positively in this year’s fashion shows. They weigh only twelve ounces and are made with Egyptian cotton, but tailored as a jacket with elbow patches and detailed work all around. These jackets will be great for traveling or for a casual business meeting. You could even wear it at the beach and watch the heads turn.
